Woodward|8271-468| Generator Loading Control Module
Woodward 8271-468 Generator Loading Control Module
Description
Woodward 8271-468 is a generator loading control module designed for commercial applications, used with Woodward EG, 2301, 2500, and EPG systems to manage and adjust generator set electrical load sharing.
Features
- Enables soft loading and unloading
- Supports isolated and infinite bus operations
- Compatible with motor operated potentiometer (MOP) for automatic load control
- Provides derating and proportional load sharing
- One control can manage up to 15 generators in infinite bus setups
Technical Specifications
- Input Power: 115/230 Vac
- Operating Voltage Range: 18–32 Vdc (internally regulated)
- Ambient Temperature Range: –40 °C to +85 °C (–40 °F to +185 °F)
- Load Adjustment Range: 0% to 100% of rated generator load
- Control Output: Bias signal via unit paralleling lines
- Signal Sensing: Measures load signal voltage from system paralleling lines or utility reference
- Error Signal Generation: Compares setpoint from external potentiometer with actual load signal
- Relay Activation: Operated via external contacts (typically breaker auxiliary contacts) at terminals 5 and 6
