The IC670CHS002 is a generic terminal base designed to accommodate GE modules with catalog numbers suffixed "J" or above, featuring a projecting tab that fits into its alignment slots.

Supports installation of up to 2 modules, secured by screws for vibration resistance while allowing module removal without disturbing field wiring.

Requires a Version 2.1+ Bus Interface Unit (BIU) for hot insertion/removal of modules in the I/O station.

Later versions (e.g., IC670CHS102, IC670CHS002B) include a metal grounding strip and are compatible with conductive DIN rail mounting.
